Snow is a beautiful American Bulldog who happens to be deaf, just like other participant Milo who I photographed back in February. Snow was photographed in El Paso, Texas this past March for her time in the spotlight. She will be appearing in the Deaf Dogs photo book, which will be out later on this year/early next year.
Snow hit the jackpot last May when Aimi and her husband Billy found this beautiful baby on Petfinder. They knew that Snow was their dog the minute they saw her. When they went to see her at the shelter, Billy approached the kennel where Snow was. Snow sat there, too, looked at him, went back and got her toy and dropped it at his feet. It was love at first sight for all 3 of them! After a couple trips to the rescue and a training session, they brought their new baby home.
Snow is their companion animal, and Snow seems to know when the family needs her most. She has a sixth sense for when the family needs extra comforting. For all the love she gives the family, she is one pampered princess in return.
She is in the military...well, her family is, and so that means a lot of relocating. She has been to West Virginia, back to Georgia and now out to El Paso, Texas. As dad Billy said, "I will go anywhere I can take my dog," which is exactly the sort of attitude I like to hear!
Mom Aimi firmly believes Snow's role in the family is that of "Diva," and Snow, in turn, thoroughly enjoyed her time in the spotlight (although, her favorite pose during the shoot was a recumbent one - I think she wanted us to do all the work). We thoroughly enjoyed our time in El Paso visiting with Aimi and Snow, and we hope they enjoyed the shoot as much as we did!
Snow will be appearing in the Deaf Dogs photo book, which will be out at the end of 2009/beginning of 2010.
